CD and DVD-Rom Design
CD-Rom Design
CD-Rom content is becoming less popular with the advent of increasingly fast internet speeds meaning that CD quality content can be delivered just as cheaply onlilne. However there are occasions where CD-Rom content can still be an invaluable investment for a company. CD-Roms can house highly interactive interfaces and deliver high quality video content. Therefore they can assist print material (either in the form of magazines or brochureware) and can be sold very effectively in conjunction with printed material. CD-Roms can even be effectively delivered by traditional postal services when such an approach is backed up by a focused marketing campaign.
Ray Dale can provide extremely high quality designs and built captivating interfaces for both CD and DVD-Rom mediums. Ray Dale has designed and built numerous CD-Rom interfaces in particular in the past and can use that experience to advise when and where to use such a medium for maximum effect.
DVD-Rom Design
Whilst seemingly similar to CD-Rom design, DVD interface design is actually fairly different. DVD's can hold significantly more information on them than CD-Rom's and therefore; where CD-Roms often lose out to the web as a delivery platform – DVDs are often used as an extremely high quality video delivery technology. Although internet speeds and capacities are growing rapidly, they are still some way off being able to offer the kind of video quality that a DVD can offer.
DVD content delivery is perfect for those situations where your company either needs to market quality video to individuals who have slower connection speeds, or those situations where the quality of video necessary to provide the correct impression of your company precludes using the internet entirely.
DVD also has the advantage of being a ubiquitous technology with longer term prospects than CD-Rom. Most people have DVD players in their homes and on their computers and any DVD content can be played without any technical knowledge from the user – just put the DVD in the machine and sit to watch the content.
Ray Dale can deliver high quality DVD interface design utilising particular skillsets in animation to deliver compelling experiences.
