Description: 

This is the second design and build of the TLC website that Ray Dale has produced. The first design was innovative in its time, being a fully content managed FLASH website in 2004 - there were not many Flash content managed solutions available at the time. The decision to use Flash in this way was made in order for the website to stand out from a crowded market of charity websites.

 

This, the second incarnation of the TLC website was produced with HTML and a smattering of Flash. The decision to change from a full Flash website was taken largely because the website was becoming very popular and a tough decision had to be made to use HTML in effort to maximise the search engine readability, whilst reducing the amount of development time spent on maintaining the website and particularly improving its content management system.
